Negin is a long-time friend of mine and someone whose perspective I value. She started her career as a journalist in Iran and later moved to London to join BBC Persia as a news presenter on-air, where she worked for over a decade. More recently, she formed a community organizing and political activist network called Azadi Network, which in English means Freedom Network. Her critiques of the Iranian government are direct and incisive. She has much knowledge as a practitioner, which she will share during our continued collaboration. I want to introduce her to the platform here as a semi-regular contributor. Much of her perspective spans politics and women’s rights broadly in the U.S., Afghanistan, Iran, and the Middle East. She is active in the Women Life Freedom movement and the Gender Apartheid movement. I’m excited for you to listen and look for future collaborations from Negin.
